Drupa is the largest printing equipment exhibition in the world, held every four years in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Drupa is also the world's number one trade fair for the print media industry. It offers attendees the opportunity to share in extensive global print media presentations, launch products and present their innovations at the most important platform.
Drupa 2008 (the last time it was held) was very successful. From May 29 to June 11, close to 390,000 visitors from 140 countries and approximately 3,000 journalists from 84 nations participated. They obtained information about innovations, further developments and new business areas, and participated in billion-figure investments. As a result of this success, drupa was able to further extend its global market significance and international standing.

Professional development opportunities are an important part of keeping any organization functioning well, and we’re here to help. If you have a specific learning opportunity that you, or someone with your company wants to attend, then our Training Rebate Program (TRP) is for you!
Printers in Manitoba have thrived because they know their business, so one of the ways we will support you training needs is simply by helping fund what you know are some of the pressing learning opportunities that your company needs to address this year.
This user-friendly initiative is an industry priority that the MPIA Executive Director would be happy to assist you though any questions or problems.
Here’s how it works:
It's that Easy!
If you need assistance in assessing or delivering your organization’s training needs the MPIA has a number of resources available within our network of partners.
Depending on your needs, we can arrange the support of the Building Better Workplaces Program, or Workplace Education Manitoba to assist your organization free of charge. If you would like to explore these or other MPIA training opportunities, contact us at (204) 272-5022 or at mpia@live.ca.
This year MPIA will be teaming up with the Printing Industries of America (PIA) to provide a 5-part webinar series on topics related to the print industry. These webinars are an opportunity for us to present topics that are too short to make an entire training program for but are still important for the industry.
Pricing, dates and confirmed courses will be released in September.
The proposed topic list includes:
